Our Stylists

Michael D. Burke

After years as a stylist, master colorist and salon manager, Michael opened Hair Craft Salon in 2007. His goal was to create a comfortable, relaxed, yet professional environment which seemed lacking in many other salons. In addition to a BA in Interior Design and a cosmetology degree from the Capri Institute of Hair Design, Michael has taken workshops by Nick Arrojo, Smith-Grieve Accademia , Blow Pro, and Wahl. His specialty is corrective color and he has attended master classes in color given by Matrix, Redken, and L’Oreal.

Kristian Perez

Kris came to us as an apprentice in May 2014, having freelanced since graduating Capri Institute in 2011. He has continued his education in advance cutting techniques in private classes with Brian Grieve. His creativity is evident in his finishing work. He brings with him a keen understanding of customer service having worked in the banking industry.
One of Kris's special interests is hair color. Inspired by some of the urban fashion trends he sees in the city, he has been studying and experimenting with the latest techniques. He loves creating fashion forward looks for his more adventurous clients.

Albertina "Betty" Faraci

Betty came to Hair Craft in August 2008, after many years working at “Hair, Etc.” on Clifton Avenue. Having worked in some of North Jersey’s most stylish salons for over 40 years, Betty brings a traditional “wash and set” point of view not found in many local salons. Her devoted following has kept her busy for many years. Born in Italy, Betty now lives in Totowa, and is proud to be the mother of two daughters and grandmother of four.
